Does your dog get jealous when you enjoy your ice cold popsicles on a hot summer day? Well now he doesn't have to--he can have his own!

With the help of this DIY guide, you’ll be well on your way to creating simple and affordable frozen dog treats in no time. Never made homemade dog treats before? No problem! These frozen dog treats are easy to make and will help to keep your dog cool and satisfied on a hot summer day.

The first step is for you to gather some dog-safe fruits that can be chopped into bite size portions. Strawberries and blueberries are great choices–and vegetables can even be used if you know of something in particular that your dog likes.

Next, you’ll need a container to use for your frozen treats. My favorite thing to use for freezing foods is an ice cube tray. They are great for portioning out homemade dog treats so you don’t accidentally give your pup too much.

Now that you have some ingredients to choose from and a container, place a piece of fruit at the bottom of each tray. Fill with water and then freeze for a few hours. Once frozen, pop out the cube and serve! Voila, you have now created your first frozen dog treat that your pup will go crazy for.

If you’re feeling creative, try experimenting with different flavors. Just make sure all ingredients are safe for dogs. Just like us humans, dogs enjoy trying new flavors and textures. Go forth and create fun frozen dog treats!
